John Dakin of the Vail Valley Foundation said on Tuesday that course crews would work through this weekend to finish preparations on the steep and demanding Birds of Prey course. Dakin said the majority of work remaining to be done was on the lower third of the course, from the Golden Eagle Jump through the finish line.
Tom Johnston, USSA's alpine technical adviser, has been overseeing course preparation with Jimmy Roberts, Beaver Creek's renowned mountain operations director, and Chief of Course Greg Johnston (no relation). "We've made a lot of snow in the last couple of days. Since it's gotten colder, they've been making it round-the-clock," USSA's Johnston said.

NBC and Versus will broadcast coverage from Beaver Creek and WCSN.com will provide webcasting.
