Fantasy Report: Week 7 final

When a fantasy team has a double winner in both an overall and in their winning discipline the team becomes pretty hard to beat… Or, even get close to. Such was the case with Sammy'z Slammers this week, holding Marlies Schild in overall and in slalom where she just refuses to lose. With 22percent of the women's slaloms set in week seven the Slammerz amassed a large 516 total and pounded the Hammers which topped out at 69 thanks mainly to Markus Larsson snaring 45 from fifth at Adelboden's slalom.

Team PMS lost for the second straight week as Rand Corporation got a three-race contribution of 160 points from Nicole Hosp and a 205 total. PMS had some nasty headaches with Ted Ligety getting just 14 in two races and Zettel missing out on GS points.
Smokin' Mirrors got 80 from Benjamin Raich in slalom and minor two-race support from Andrea Fischbacher, which was enough to sneak past Dave's Dumpster Divers as the triple D's got no points from any other than Giorgio Rocca's sixth in slalom.
Kevlar Lederhosen were impenetrable as far as Ranger Rick was concerned. The Lederhosen got 180 from Raich's two race/two podium weekend and another 45 from Resi Stiegler, while the Ranger got 50 from Kalle Palander three times (twice in overall and once more in slalom) and fell just short.

Moser-Proell Division recap

The Blacks secured its first win of the season with a 157-48 slapping of the Hardcore but could not escape the Moser-Proell Division basement. It was the highest weekly total of the season for the Blacks with Tanja Poutiainen's two slalom showings providing more than half the punch. The Hardcore relied heavily on Anja Paerson, who failed to finish two of her three races.
Also scrapping up from the lower rungs of the division was the Destroyers riding the GS win of Nicole Hosp and a two -ace 45 total from Julia Mancuso to upset the Interosseous Membrane, which had both gate positions filled with Paerson.
Birds of Pray used the waiver wire to fill the overall positions with slalom specialists Ana Jelusic (125 points) and Therese Borssen (40 more) and it paid off handsomely with a 237-202 nip-and-tuck win over Balloon Animal Commandos. The Commandos got 140 from Poutiainen but got stung badly when Kathrin Zettel failed to finish two of the three races.
Ribbons overpowered White Circus Watch 176-74 despite an off week for Aksel Svindal, thanks mostly to Raich's GS win. Biggest set of points the Circus collected was from Davide Simoncelli's eighth-place finish in GS.

Kashalot moved back to the top of the Forum League standings having Raich in an overall position (180) and Schild in slalom (200) plus Hosp in GS (100); Talk about putting the ducks in a row. Sbtski was no match with Svindal and Mancuso in overall slots.
