Europa Cup: U.S. men post top 10s in Italy

Two U.S. racers placed in the top 10 in Wednesday's Europa Cup downhill in Sarntal/Reinswald, Italy, but it was Canada's Patrick Wright who took the top step with a time of two minutes, 14.26. Italy's Stefan Thanei and Elmar Hofer placed second and third, respectively.
     America's Bryon Friedman finished eighth and Chris Beckmann took ninth. Jeremy Transue, Kevin Francis and Travis Ganong also placed in the top 30 for the Americans.
