Didier Cuche undergoes knee surgery

Didier Cuche undergoes knee surgery{mosimage}Didier Cuche, the 30-year-old alpine skier who was Switzerland’s best chance for a world championship medal this year, underwent a successful knee operation this morning. The surgery, which took place in Lausanne, repaired the ACL Cuche torein his right knee on January 4, 2005, while training giant slalom in Adelboden, Switzerland. “The operation went without complications and in a few days Didier Cuche can leave the hospital,” said his a Swiss team press release. Cuche begins physiotherapy immediately, and is expected to start training again in six months.
