Vail, Colo. native Kendall Deighan had the hot hand Thursday (Jan. 13) as she secured wins in both women’s Ski Halfpipe and Ski Slopestyle competitions at the second stop of this season’s U.S. Revolution Tour in Mt. Hood Meadows, Oregon.

On the men’s side, Eagle, Colorado’s Tanner Coulter snatched up the slopestyle win while Daniel Rosenblum of Stamford, Conn. took the halfpipe win.

After poor weather postponed Wednesday’s halfpipe competition, skiers were determined to compete in both halfpipe and slopestyle Thursday despite rain and fog.

With a score of 60.50, Deighan took the top spot in the women’s slopestyle competition over Kirsten Cooley in second and Katie Turner in third.

“I was definitely a little tentative waking up this morning, but the course ran really well,”said Deighan of her winning run. “It felt really good.”

Deighan capped her successful Thursday with an afternoon halfpipe victory.  Behind her finished Maddie Eakin and Renee Shapiro in second and third, respectively.

Coulter captured the slopestyle crown with a score of 90.00 beating out second-place finisher Andy Partridge and Canadian Taeden Schneider-Clark in third.

Rounding out the action, Rosenblum won the men’s halfpipe event, scoring a 31.30, topping second place Conor Garrecht-Connelly and third place Carson Lehouillier.
