Emily Brydon clocked the fastest training time in the first test down the Cortina, Italy, downhill track Friday. Austria's Elisabeth Goergl was second, Italian Daniela Merighetti third and Swedish star Anja Paerson fourth.
    Lindsey Vonn led the U.S. skiers in sixth. Britt Janyk was 13th for Canada and Julia Mancuso 14th for the U.S. with teammate Stacey Cook collecting 17th, Canadian Kelly VanderBeek 22nd and American Libby Ludlow 29th.
    Cortina has been faced with logistics problems as continuing snows forced organizers to cancel a Thursday training run and a super G planned for today. The revised schedule calls for a downhill Saturday and super G's both Sunday and Monday.
