Canadian national team hires former Dartmouth racer for top media relations post{mosimage}The Canadian alpine ski team has announced the appointment of Marie-Hélène Thibeault as director of communications and media relations. Thibeault is a Dartmouth College graduate and a former member of the Canadian team.

Thibeault has recently held positions in the realm of communications for two Montreal-based corporations, namely Domtar Inc. and Alcan Inc. Before that, she raced for Alpine Canada Alpin. Her racing career included success on both the NorAm and NCAA Carnival circuits. Thibeault has also coached skiing. Alpine Canada Alpin hopes that this wealth of experience from the ski world will contribute to the development of the organization, which is the governing body for ski racing in Canada.

Under the title ‘Director, Communications and Media Relations’ Marie-Hélène will oversee all internal and external communication activities involving Alpine Canada Alpin along with its partners and members. In her function, she will be reporting to Joey O’Brien, Chief Operating Officer for Alpine Canada Alpin.

Born in Montréal, Québec, Marie-Hélène holds a bachelor degree from Dartmouth College, in New Hampshire, and is currently completing her MBA.
