British ski and snowboard teams announce partnership with Craft sportswear{mosimage}SnowsportGB, the UK’s governing body for skiing and snowboarding, has announced a new supply deal for undergarments to the British Ski and Snowboard Teams, and a team clothing deal for the British Nordic Ski Team.

For the ski and snowboarding teams the Swedish company will provide dryland training clothing, thermals, and luggage to team athletes and coaches. This will include the exclusive supply of thermals to Olympic skiers Alain Baxter and Finlay Mickel and Olympic snowboarders including Zöe Gillings.

For the British Nordic Team full race clothing will be provided.

The agreement will remain in place until after the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

Commenting on the supply agreement Jason Cockburn CEO states:

“It has been a great pleasure in securing a long term deal with a company such as Craft, and I look forward to working closely with Esa Bergqvist MD Craft Sportswear Ltd to ensure both parties derive maximum benefit from the relationship.”

Speaking on behalf of Craft, Esa Bergqvist states:

“We are very happy with this agreement and when we launch Craft Sportswear in the UK the customers will know that Craft sportswear is used by the best in the UK. Craft started about 30 years ago and Craft has become the choice of elite athletes the world over. It’s because they understand and believe in the Craft principle, ‘3 layer system’ the high demands for function and quality of the garments.

We look forward to working with SnowsportGB and the athletes over the next five years and wish all athletes good luck for the coming season. Thank you to Jason for the hard work he has put in to closing the agreement.’
