Alpine nationals: Sullivan, Cook top 2nd training run

Sullivan edged JJ Johnson and Steven Nyman, who tied for second place, one-tenth of a second off the pace. Cook was a half-second ahead of junior skier Leanne Smith. Kaylin Richardson was third.
Sullivan was clocked in 1 minute, 45.21 seconds, more than a second faster than the winning time recorded by Will Brandenburg in training the previous day. Cook was timed in 1:50.53, slightly better than Tuesday's training run winner, Libby Ludlow.
Skiers will compete in a FIS downhill on Thursday, and the national championship downhills are scheduled for Friday.
