Leif Odmark, Swedish-born cross-country skiing legend, dies in Idaho at age 84Leif Odmark, an icon of cross-country skiing, died Monday in Boise, Idaho. A Swede who had made Sun Valley his residence for many decades, was 84 years old.

Odmark was a member of Sweden’s national cross country and jumping ski teams. During World War II he was involved in the Scandinavian resistance of the Nazi armies. He remained athletically active and fit until shortly before his death.
