Freeman continues recovery; Veerpalu and Bjoergen win{mosimage}OSLO, Norway (March 12) – Kris Freeman (Andover, NH) continued his rebound from early season sickness as he finished 27th Saturday in the Holmenkollen 50K classic, which was won by Estonian Andrus Veerpalu. The winning time for the race was 2:10.25.2 with German Jens Filbrich second (2:10.52.1). Freeman’s time was 2:15.29.1 with Dave Chamberlain (Bethel, ME) 46th in the field of 60 while Chad Giese (St. Paul, MN) was 52nd. Marit Bjoergen of Norway won the women’s 30K CL; no American woman raced.
