A group of 12 talented junior skiers will represent Canada at the 2015 FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships in Hafjell, Norway, this March. The 34th annual championships will feature top young ski talent from around the world. Races include downhill, slalom, giant slalom, super G, an alpine combined event, and a team event.

Of the 12 Canadians selected, nine are members of the national development team. The team also features six returning members from last year’s championship event.

Women:

The Norwegian Ski Federation has named 16 promising athletes, headlined by World Cup winner and Olympic bronze medalist Henrik Kristoffersen, to its roster at the event for which it will serve as host nation. Kristoffersen is the defending gold medalist in both slalom and giant slalom from the 2014 championships held in Jasna, Slovakia, but he just missed out on the medals at the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail/Beaver Creek, Colo., by placing fourth in the slalom by a scant 0.02 seconds.
