The discovery of "technical problems" with the ski jump at Trondheim forced organizers to cancel the World Cup Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping events planned for the Norwegian city Dec. 4-6 as the hill was shut down while repairs are implemented. The organizers indicated it would take at least a week to get the facility ready for competition.

Lillehammer jumped to the rescue and will pick up the events, according to a release from FIS Nordic Combined media coordinator Egon Theiner.
