World Cup women's tech moved from Germany to Italy
The decision follows an announcement made last week that the pair of women's World Cup downhills would be held at Santa Caterina on January 6 and 7. Those two races are intended to make up for the downhills originally scheduled for Val d'Isere before Christmas, but cancelled because of a snowstorm.
In less than four weeks, Santa Caterina is hosting the women's races of the alpine World Championships (the men's events will take place in nearby Bormio).
Revised World Cup schedule,
Santa Caterina, Italy:
January 6: women's downhill
January 7: women's downhill
January 8: women's giant slalom
January 9: women's slalom
