USSA Eastern Region Alpine Office completes staffing{mosimage}Kraig Sourbeer has been hired to take over the role of eastern alpine regional coach. The U.S. Ski Team alumnus will replace Peter Stokloza, who has accepted a position with the Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, club program after four years with USSA Eastern Office. Sourbeer has deep Vermont roots, having graduated from Burke Mountain Academy, skied for the University of Vermont, and coached at Burke, Mt. Mansfield, and Smuggler's Notch, in addition to Steamboat Springs in Colorado.

Tim Maguire, eastern regional director says, "I am very excited to have someone of Kraig's experience on board. I have every confidence he will do a great job."

Shaun Goodwin will fill the position of eastern development and competition manager. Goodwin most recently has been the program director and head coach at Bristol Mountain, New York, and has been involved in both Eastern and New York State children's development projects. Goodwin takes over the reins from Beth Raymond, who has taken a job at a private school in Connecticut

Completing the new staff will be Mike Kenney, uncle of Bode Miller and resident of Franconia, New Hampshire, who has accepted the position of assistant regional coach. Kenney was formerly an assistant coach and trainer with the U.S. men's World Cup technical team and coach with the Franconia Ski Club.
