Program Length: 5 month Winter Term, grades 6-12. Applications currently being accepted for the Year-Round Pinnacle Program, grades 9-12. For student-athletes under 15 we offer a six week Quarter Term session starting 12/1/13

Academic Strengths and Overview: Designed for dedicated full-time student-athletes in grades 6-12 who are passionate about pursuing the highest level of performance in alpine racing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding while also achieving academic excellence, WVA is a truly innovative snowsports academy located in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. Each student’s sending school curriculum is seamlessly integrated with his or her athletic training and competition schedule. In August 2013 WVA will introduce the Pinnacle Program, a unique year round program, for students in grades 9-12. Pinnacle student-athletes will pursue their individualized high-level training and competition program during the winter while maintaining a lighter academic load. During the spring and fall, student-athletes will pursue a rigorous academic schedule complimented by a world-class training and conditioning program, the Burdenko Method. Graduating WVA students have gone on to attend outstanding higher educational institutions including Boston College, Bowdoin College, Brown University, Colby College, Colorado College, Dartmouth College, Evergreen State College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Middlebury College, Pennsylvania State University, Plymouth State University, Roger Williams, St. Lawrence University, Union College, University of Colorado, University of New Hampshire, University of Utah, University of Vermont and Williams College. Many continue their athletic career on college teams or are named to the U. S. National Teams.
