Reigning World Cup overall champion Lindsey Vonn has returned to Europe and resumed snow training on Thursday.

“It feels great to be back and I can’t wait to start racing again,” said Vonn on her Facebook page.

Vonn, who less than three weeks ago announced she would be taking an indefinite break from skiing, spent the holidays stateside to fully recover from illness. She missed only a handful of tech races since the hiatus.

Vonn anticipates returning to the World Cup tour for a scheduled downhill and super G in St. Anton, Austria - where she swept the downhill and super combined during a 2007 stop at the Arlberg resort.
