Jared Goldberg made a bid today (Dec. 16) to run away with the Nor Am overall title, padding his lead by 200pts in a single day by taking the opening super G leg of a super combined at Panorama by a healthy margin. He then placed top 15 in the slalom leg for a narrow win over slalom winner Mark Engel.

Canadian Philip Brown got third and Trevor Philp fourth. Morgan Pridy had been second in the super G and finished one place behind Goldberg in the slalom, but was awarded sixth for the combined, edged out by Norway's Eian Sandvik.

Goldberg's status as tour leader will hold for a while. Though the circuit has reached its mid-point after tomorrow's super G closes out the Panorama string, the schedule rests until the end of January.
