Third after the super G leg, Canadian World Cup skier Erin Mielzynski showed off the slalom prowess that led her to a Cup slalom win at Ofterschwang last March in taking the Nor Am super combined at Panorama with an enormous two second margin. She took the slalom by a little more than a second, but super G leaders Kathrin Irwin and Jacqueline Wiles placed 20th and 16th in the slalom presenting Mielzynski the opportunity she needed.
In second for the combined was 16 year old Roni Remme, a double medalist at the 2011 Whistler Cup in super G and slalom. She had been 42nd after the super G leg and posted the second fastest slalom time behind Mielzynski.
Norway's Kristine Gjelsten Haugen was third. Top US skier was Paula Moltzan in fourth. She recorded the third fastest slalom time.
