VALMALENCO, Italy (March 23) – Bradley Wilson of Butte, Mont. captured moguls gold at the FIS Junior World Championships Friday. Wilson skiied from the lower end of the scores to come out on top in the finals.

Wilson, 19, followed in the footsteps of his brother Bryon Wilson who won the same competiton at age 19. Bradley Wilson was also nominated at this season’s FIS moguls rookie of the year.

“I qualified low and didn't have a good first run so I was just really glad I made it to finals,” said Wilson. “You really have nothing to lose qualifying that low so I just went for it and kinda got lucky. At that point there's not much skills involved.”

On the women's side, American Anna Park managed silver. “This morning felt better than any of the other days here. I was really excited after qualifiers and felt good but felt I could improve,” said Frank. “Then after my final run I was just really, really happy!”
