The International Ski Federation (FIS) announced today (Dec. 15) the schedule of upcoming women’s World Cup races in Courchevel, France will be altered due to forecasted heavy snowfall in the area this weekend.

The original schedule called for a giant slalom on Saturday and a slalom on Sunday. Now, the races will swap days with the slalom first on Saturday and the GS the following day. The start times will be the same.

Two feet of new snow is expected in Courchevel over the next two days. The new snowfall in the Alps comes after a very dry early season. Both men’s and women’s races planned for Val d’Isere, France in early December were canceled due to lack of snow.
